#bookreview … Learning Curves by Gemma Townley

Learning CurvesLearning Curves by Gemma Townley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I grabbed this book from my work small library. I was in the mood for a cute romantic story and the cover grabbed my attention. I find myself reading a lot of books because of the way the cover looks. ☺️

Jen is coming from a broken family and she is somehow a rebel. I guess that what she is trying to do is find out who she really is and she is trying to find the truth about her parents. After she meets Daniel she realizes that love is not exactly how she thought it is. Her heart is broken multiple times by the people around her but by the end things might not be as dramatic as they seem.

The only thing that I found a bit boring was the fact that there was too much of business talk, but other than that this book is a great, easy read. It deserves 5 stars! ☺️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#bookreview … Dream Spell by Sarah Doughty

Dream Spell (Earthen Witch World Shorts, #1)Dream Spell by Sarah Doughty

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is actually a novella that I could not stop reading from the moment I started. Normally I’m not such a fast reader but this story was so good that two hours after I started it half of it was already read. ☺️

April made me think so much about myself. She is trying to live ‘a normal life’ but she knows she will never be able to do so, simply because she is not like everyone else. She is trying to protect her baby and reconnects with her first and only love, Ian. What happens after is exciting, beautiful and even tragic by the end.

Their story is not simple but their connection is so strong that they overcome all obstacles. They know it will always be challenging, even dangerous, to be together but that doesn’t stop them. This is what real love is all about.

Edit: You can find this book on iBooks and Goodreads and also available through Barnes and Noble and Kobo. πŸ™‚

5 stars to this lovely love story! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks for reading! ☺️

#bookreview … Listen by Sarah Doughty

Listen (Earthen Witch #3)Listen by Sarah Doughty

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I was just reading the first book when I got an email from this amazing author asking me if I would like to read the third book that was not yet out there. My answer was immediately Yes! Of course I want to know how things will turn out before anyone else did!
Listen is the third book in the Earthen Witch series. The good thing about it, is that I read the third book and even though I barely stared the first one, I was able to follow the story so well. This was basically because the writer, Sarah Doughty, made it so easy for the reader to follow the story. She made sure that explanations from previous stories were included whenever the reader might start to feel lost.

Aisling Green is an Earthen witch that is trying to save her friends that are in some serious trouble. Together with her soul mate and their friends are fighting the evil and try to bring back their team that in the end is their family. Now, here is what really grabbed my attention and really made me happy (I really had a huge smile on my face): at some point in the book a Romanian character appears and is one of my favorite characters. I am not going to say who it is, because I don’t want to spoil it for you, but being the fact that I am Romanian it was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Is Aisling succeeding in her plans to save her friends? Well, I guess you will have to find out, but let me tell you that personally I can’t wait for the forth book to come out.

Thanks for reading.

#bookreview … The Memory House by Rachel Hauck

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I read the first chapter of this book and I must say that I’m impressed. This is the type of book that I really like: strong female character that is not scared to show what she wants.

There is not too much information in this first chapter so there is not much that I can share in terms of the story. What I can say though is that I would definitely like to continue reading it. I’m very curious to know the story behind. I have a feeling this is one of those books that captivates you until the last page.

Thanks for reading!

Books Lover Jewelry :)

Good Sunday!

I am always asked about my jewelry and people (mostly those that love to read) compliment my earrings and necklaces. I find that jewelry is part of any outfit that I wear and most of the time my jewelry represents who I am. I was never too comfortable with too fancy or too elegant jewelry, I like instead simple stuff that show who I am and represent me somehow. So here are a few of my every day jewelry:

#bookreview … The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

The Handmaid's TaleThe Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I started first with the TV series. I wasn’t even aware that this is a book. But like any avid reader I am always looking for a book when it comes to something that I watch on TV. Most of the time the series or the movie are made after the book.

I realized shortly that some things are different and some events are not the same. I liked it better in the book I must say. If you didn’t read it yet I highly recommend it.

Living in a world in which most women are used is scary and just wrong. I was actually thinking during the reading, why is it that only women seem to suffer mostly all the time? Thinking that in some parts of the world women still can’t decide for themselves is really sad. While reading this book and while watching the series I couldn’t help thinking that this is not so far from some people’s reality. Some of us are safe in a part of the world where suffering is minimum and we forget that not everywhere is the same. This might be an old book but the reality of it is shocking.

I loved it! But the end….what is with that end?! 😣😐
