I received the book The Sisters by Rosalind Noonan from Kensington Books before its release on November 27th, 2018 through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I finished this book just a few hours ago and I feel overwhelmed with emotion. This book covers so many topics from the world around us. Topics that might seem so normal for some yet unknown for others. This book is about family, love, hate, concern, confusion, life in general, death, people that don’t mind their business, people that want a family and can’t have it, people that have a family and give it up, fostering, adoption, cults, etc. I can go on and on. It might seem like a lot of topics for just one book but this mix was so well put together by the author that it seems like one without the other can’t make sense.
The story made me emotional on so many points. There are parts in which I got so upset about the turn of events. Other parts made me want to go in the story and do something about it, something to help the characters involved. And there were parts in which I was so happy to see that the things turned out exactly as I was imagining them.
While I was reading this book I was easily imagining it as a movie. The story has a great potential. It kept me hooked until the end. It was pretty hard to put it aside until I actually reached the end. I would definitely recommend this book to everybody that wants a good story filled with mixed emotions.
Thanks for reading.
