Not Buying Into The โ€˜Junkโ€™ Energy!

Lucid Being๐Ÿ’ซ

Not Buying Into The โ€˜Junkโ€™ Energy!

A lot of us are getting pretty good at โ€˜blame shiftingโ€™, or โ€˜negative focus shiftingโ€™. When we desperately need a person, group or object to focus our anger out onto. Politics, social injustice, right through to bad service at the supermarket can trigger these negative feelings and even serve as a current target. A target to vent out our built up negative energy. This negative energy doesnโ€™t necessarily make us bad people, but simply the unconscious carriers of directionless โ€˜junkโ€™ energy.

#bookreview … Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling – Kindle

Why Not Me?

Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I learned about Mindy after watching her show on Netflix: The Mindy Project. This was really one of the best shows that I ever watched so of course it made me want to know everything about the character of the show, Mindy. I started to follow her on social media and so I found out about her books.

This book makes you laugh out loud several times. She makes things look so easy. She makes jokes about everything that happens in life because it is true, we tend to take life too seriously when in fact we should just have more fun with it. However, she doesn’t stop fighting for her dreams and she is a strong woman. She is a role model. Mindy is telling us that nothing in life is impossible without hard work. Confidence must be earned and you earn it with hard work.

If you want a good laugh and gain some confidence I definitely recommend this book.

#bookreview … Ellen Degeneres: A Biography by Macie Melรฉndez – Kindle

Ellen Degeneres: A BiographyEllen Degeneres: A Biography by Macie Melรฉndez

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Ellen is one of those people that inspire and make people want to be better. I always wanted to know more of her life so I decided to look into books about her. I chose this book thinking that I will learn new things about her, things that you don’t read on social media or that Ellen herself didn’t mention them at one point or another.

This is a really short book but it’s content is really not great. Most things written are nothing new about Ellen. There are a few things that I didn’t know about but most of the information is short and not too much explanation is given.

I am disappointed and I feel like I spent my money for nothing. This should be between the free books or it should cost about 2$ maximum.

I don’t recommend unless you know absolutely nothing about Ellen.

#bookreview … The Year of the Introvert: A Journal of Daily Inspiration for the Inwardly Inclined by Michaela Chung

All my life I’ve been wondering who am I and why am I so different from most people around me. Looking around I was constantly asking myself why can’t I be more friendly or go out more often and actually enjoy it? I was thinking that small talk makes me really unconformable and I was getting so inspired when someone was actually holding a deep conversation. That was what was grabbing my attention.

Corners is where I go to be alone and I am not comfortable surrounded by many people.

The Year of the Introvert: A Journal of Daily Inspiration for the Inwardly InclinedThe Year of the Introvert: A Journal of Daily Inspiration for the Inwardly Inclined by Michaela Chung

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I discovered Michaela’s Facebook page in a moment when I really needed guidance. When I learned that she wrote this book I didn’t wait any longer and I bought myself a copy. I enjoyed every single page of it. I found myself in so many of her journal entries. While reading this book it felt like I was coming home. Like I was finally learning things about myself, like I was finally knowing myself.

This is one of those books that you keep close and open it whenever you need guidance. Whenever you feel you are getting lost again, just open it and it will guide you back home. This is one of those books that you read multiple times, not because it was hard to understand it the first time but because you will discover new things each and every time you open it.

I absolutely love this book. I will recommend it to everyone I know. For introverts this book is a guide to know yourself, for extroverts this books is a guide to understand that there are different people out there and that is ok.
