Five #books that give you #feels

When you read a lot you find some books that are either very hard to read, very easy to read, books that make you feel nothing and books that touch you in some way. There are books that you would read multiple times just because of the feeling that they gave you or books that you would not read again because of the feeling that they gave you. I love those books. The books that give you feels. It’s magical when words written by someone that you never met touch you in some way. I gathered five (5) books that made me feel different things at different times.

Here they are:

1. Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia (The Princess Trilogy #1) by Jean Sasson

This book made me sad and angry and made me feel vulnerable. It also made me feel grateful for my freedom. It’s like I realized that I was taking for granted all that I have, my freedoms and rights were normal to me until I read this book. Of course we all know that things in some countries are not so easy but to actually read the words of a woman trapped in that world is touching. I hope that there will come a day when all humans will have the same rights regardless of gender.

2. Me Before You (Me Before You #1) by Jojo Moyes

This book is about life and death. About not taking a minute in a day to feel grateful for what we have, for our health. We feel strong and powerful and that nothing bad can happen to us until it does…until something bad is happening to us. And if that ‘something bad’ doesn’t happen we should consider fortunate and be grateful for yet another day of life. It doesn’t mean that we must live in fear it means that we must be grateful. And…if you were sick and you would have the choice between life or death…what would you choose?

3. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

My favorite book and movie ever. This story touched me so very much. It is about being humble and simple and have faith that never goes away…until you found love. Once love is in your life you start to question everything that you ever knew. It’s about being someone and being someone completely different when love touches your heart. It’s about wanting to live but accepting your faith. This book is about pure LOVE.

4. The Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff

If you doubt yourself and your self-confidence is low I hardly recommend this book. If you want to learn more about the different types of personalities out there, this is the perfect book. If you think that one small, tiny human can’t make a difference in the world, this book might change your mind. And if you want to find yourself and put yourself back on track and reflect about your path, here it is…this book might help you with that too.

5. A Million Little Pieces by James Frey

This book is pure feels. I mean if you read this book and don’t feel the pain and struggle you might consider the fact that empathy is not part of you. There are parts in this book that gave me chills, other parts were so hard to read it was like I was the character and I was feeling the pain. Yes, I know that some parts of this book are fiction even thought the author initially claimed everything is true but that doesn’t take the feels away. The way this book is written and the message that is given still makes it, in my opinion, a great book with a good amount of feels.

There you are…I hope this five (5) books make you feel what they made me feel or more. Except the last book, you probably want to feel less of that pain because it was scary at times. But these are great reads, with great messages and ohhh so many feels. You probably don’t use ‘feels’ as I used it in this post but I like to break the rules once in a while. 😊

Enjoy the feels !
