Divergent (Divergent, #1)

Divergent by Veronica Roth

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What would you do if at 16 years old you are given the choice to change the world you are living in? You could stay close to your friends and family or you could start over, a life in which you can be whoever you want to be, far away from everything you knew all your life.

Beatrice can choose from Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful) and Erudite (the intelligent). Her choice surprises everyone around her but she knows that she will live the life that she always dreamed of. Continue reading “#bookreview … Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth”

#bookreview … A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

A Walk to Remember

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Landon and Jamie are so different from each other and none of them ever thought their paths would bring them together. But life proves them that the unthinkable can become reality pretty fast.

London is part of the “cool group” of kids at school while Jamie is a quiet girl, always with her bible and alone in a corner. She doesn’t mind not being the center of attention. As a matter of fact, being alone is making her happy. She is hiding a secret and she is not about to share it with anyone. But then, something happens and Landon is part of her life and everything changes forever.

This book has been one of my favorites since the first time that I read it. I read it a few more times after that and I saw the movie quit a few times as well. I definitely recommend this novel.

Thanks for reading! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Happy International Woman’s Day … 💃💕

Today we celebrated (and still do for some hours 😊) women. It’s a special day for all women around you.

It is not a day when we must ask when are we going to celebrate this or that! It is women’s day!

So take a moment and give a hug to the woman next to you and let her know what a great job she is doing! She might be your mom, sister, girlfriend, daughter, wife or coworker. The world would be a sad place without us. 😊 Just saying…

To all the women bloggers out there, keep it up! Your words are necessary!

Thanks for reading! 😊💕

#bookreview …Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1)

Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Karou (hope) tries to find out who (or better yet what) she is. Surrounded by an adoptive family and just one good friend she doesn’t really know where she is coming from and what is she supposed to do with her future. She just knows that she is trapped between two realities and she also knows that there is something more to her story than the daily routine.

Akiva, with a beauty out of the human world is attracted by Karou in a way that he can’t quite understand in the beginning. There is something about her that is dragging him into her, he wants to be close to her and he even feels like he knows her somehow…but what is it?!

Three worlds, one war. Two lovers, a possibly impossible love! A story that lets you hanging and makes you want to know what is about to happen next. I absolutely loved this book! What a great adventure. I can’t wait to see where Karou and Akiva are going next! 💕

Pain is not the answer…

I am sure that we all have an interesting life story. Some had it harder than others and some had it worse. Regardless of how we arrived to today we all had to pass some downs. I suppose that life is made in such way that nobody is spared of pain. The only difference is how we dealt with it…life and pain I mean.

Talking to someone not so long ago made me think a lot about my pain. Sure there are people who hurt me during the years, my soul is full of scares and some are still bleeding once in a while. Sure I try not to think about all the hurts every day but sometimes I am reminded and I feel so sad. I’ve been told that others had it worse. Is that supposed to make my pain less…painful? It is not. Sure as a child you can be beaten by your parents or you can be beaten and raped. Does the second makes the first less traumatic? Absolutely not. We all have our pains and comparison is not the key.

What is wrong with this world is that regardless of where we live, life always gives us downs so down that sometimes is hard to breath. How we react to them makes all the difference…

#bookreview …The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

The Notebook

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Once in a while we read about a love story that we rarely find in the real world. We read and we live the emotions and we don’t want it to end. We love, we laugh, we cry and we even suffer a bit…our heart is broken by the book characters pain. We don’t understand why the author wants to put them through so much pain when it’s so obvious that these two souls must be together no matter what.

This is what The Notebook is all about. It’s about a lot of love that is lost but never forgotten, about souls that must separate but are forever connected. It’s the definition of true love.

By far one of the best love stories I read and I definitely recommend it to all love stories lovers. 🙂

Thanks for reading! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
