Fairy Tales are what made me love books. Even before going to school I devoured the Brothers Grimm’s book and of course Cinderella was one of my favorites. When I started to see this book all over my news feed I didn’t know that it’s a fairy tale retelling.
I received all the books in The Lunar Chronicles for my birthday so I was excited to start reading them. The beginning was a bit rough for me. I was not able to connect or concentrate and it was so strange to imagine Cinder with robotic parts…it was just not making sense. There are definitely parts that are quite the same as the original story which is probably what made me continue.
At one point I just connected with the book and Cinderella was not present in my mind anymore, now it was all about Cinder. This is her story and her struggles and it is full of adventures and heart-broken, unfair tragedies. She lives in a very futuristic world in which love and hate are still present, which makes us see that no matter how technologically advanced we are, without love there is not much that we can do…and with love unfortunately hate comes as well.
Of course there is a prince involved, Kai. And of course he is handsome and quite irresistible to most girls around. He must sacrifice a lot for his people and he must take tough decisions, probably he must sacrifice love as well…to follow.
I can’t wait to see what is happening next. 😊❤🥰🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thanks for reading!

While her sisters were given beautiful dresses and fine slippers, Cinderella had only a filthy smock and wooden shoes.
