Time Crawlers by Varun Sayal
My Review:

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was sent to me by the author for an honest review. And here it goes:

The Time Crawlers is six (6) science-fiction short-stories with and about parallel universes and what happens in them. While I don’t really read short-stories I actually enjoyed this book. It is easy to read and it is interesting if you think of the possibility of parallel universes. The language is a bit simplistic but I suppose that can be worked on.

Message in a Bottle

My Review:

I just finished this book and like most Nicholas Sparks’s books it left me with a broken heart. I normally wait at least a day before writing a review, as I need my thoughts to clear after finishing a book, but this time I feel that if I wait I might actually not feel what I do right now. My review does not contain spoilers but I do give out some details, so if you want to stop now…you should!

Theresa and Garrett represent normal people, with normal realities, until their paths cross. Theresa had somehow showed me what I already knew: sometimes you have to push faith just a little bit in order to reach full happiness…and true love…

#bookreview … Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho

Veronika dΓ©cide de mourir
Plot: Twenty-four-year-old Veronika seems to have everything she could wish for: youth and beauty, plenty of attractive boyfriends, a fulfilling job, and a loving family. Yet something is lacking in her life. Inside her is a void so deep that nothing could possibly ever fill it. So, on the morning of November 11, 1997, Veronika decides to die. She takes a handful of sleeping pills expecting never to wake up.

Naturally Veronika is stunned when she does wake up at Villete, a local mental hospital, where the staff informs her that she has, in fact, partially succeeded in achieving her goal. While the overdose didn’t kill Veronika immediately, the medication has damaged her heart so severely that she has only days to live.

My Review:

There are books that are written to help people find the meaning of life, or help them understand that being different is alright. People must accept themselves, they have to stop fighting who they are in order to make others happy.

#bookreview … Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

Carry On (Simon Snow, #1)
Plot: Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen.

That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.

Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were hereβ€”it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up. My Review:

This book…I feel like I don’t have a lot to say about it. From the beginning to the end it was so predictable. The style of writing it was not making me like the story or the characters. I believe that the only reason why I kept reading it was to discover if what I thought from the beginning is true. And it was…all of it…
