First I want to make it very clear that I loved this book. So very much.
I must say though that I’m so happy that I didn’t read the Goodreads description before reading the book. Talking about spoilers…
My review has some spoilers…I think…🤷♀️😌
The book is based in Quebec, which happens to be the province of Canada in which I live…yayyyy. Don’t worry this is not the only reason why I loved the book 😌 . The story made me feel so many things and I think at one point I wanted to stop reading it because I was so confused by my feelings. Luckily I read a kindle edition, otherwise I could have easily thrown the book into a wall out of frustration.
What made me angry was the way Tori, the main character, was defending this Danny guy, after he was obviously so mean to her. She was risking her life to try and bring him back home with her, though it is not clear who he is to her until the end of the book. I was suspecting something but I was surprised at the end and I actually had an ‘I understand you so well now’ when I finally knew everything. Add to this strange relationship, the love story between Tori and the man that is trying to solve the problem and save her life. But she can’t have the love story and defend Danny so she is really struggling to do the right thing.
I believe that all these mixed emotions made me love this book so much. It really made me think that a good story makes you feel and so that is why the book gets 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 only because I can’t give more.
Thanks for reading!
