#bookreview …Becoming by Michelle Obama

Becoming by Michelle Obama

PLOT: In a life filled with meaning and accomplishment, Michelle Obama has emerged as one of the most iconic and compelling women of our era. As First Lady of the United States of Americaβ€”the first African American to serve in that roleβ€”she helped create the most welcoming and inclusive White House in history, while also establishing herself as a powerful advocate for women and girls in the U.S. and around the world, dramatically changing the ways that families pursue healthier and more active lives, and standing with her husband as he led America through some of its most harrowing moments. My Review/My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is one of those reads that you can’t regret for picking it up or spend your money on. It took me a while to finish it, but it wasn’t because the book is not good. On the contrary, every time I was reading it, it was giving me such a great, warm feeling that I didn’t want to finish it.

Michelle Obama is letting us inside of her world, inside of her heart and she is putting herself out there regardless of her insecurities and fears. I simply love how she stays humble even after she reaches the top. She started from the bottom and reached the higher level by simply never giving up and by being herself even when circumstances where telling her to do otherwise. The fact that she never lost her focus and she always remembered to help those that needed her just shows what an amazing human being she is.

I am not a fan of politics and I have no intention to go there with my review. I was curios to see how this family became the presidential family, I was curios to see what was truth and what was a lie and now I know. Of course, that some might say that she will probably not say the entire truth but after reading about her life she really sounds like a genuine person.

Becoming has showed me in so many ways that it doesn’t matter where you come from or the obstacles that you have to pass, if you have the will and the force to fight you can achieve so many things in life and be an inspiration for an entire nation. Sadly, their hard work was not continued after their 8 years in the White House but that is another story in which is better if I don’t go into.

I highly recommend this book!

Thanks for reading! 😊
