Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3)
Plot: In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who’s only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice. ( read more here )

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The third book in The Lunar Chronicles is full of so many adventures that it keeps you on the edge from the beginning to the end. It is amazing how an author can create this fantastic world and suck you in it like you are part of the story.

Cinder and Captain Thorne have to stay out of prison while preparing a plan to keep Earth safe from the evil Lunar Queen Levana. They have to stop the wedding between her and Prince Kai, but it is not that easy. They find new friends, Scarlet and Wolf and together they try to rescue the best hacker in the world, Cress, that is kept prisoner on a satellite, by the Lunar queen.

#bookreview … A Reason to Live (A Reason to Love #1) by T.K. Chapin

A Reason to Live (A Reason to Love #1)
Plot: Jonathan Dunken is no stranger to heartache. After losing his wife, he submerged himself in his work as an architect and pushed everyone away, including God. Four years after his world crumbled, a surprise visitor in the middle of the night changes his life forever.

Kylie wants a change in her life, especially a new job.

A Reason to Live by T.K. Chapin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don’t normally read Christian books, for no specific reason, but I must say that I might start to do so. This romantic story made me feel like there is much more to a romance book than the relationship between a man and a woman.

Jonathan and Kylie found each other when both needed guidance. Throughout the book the mention of God and Jesus made me feel closer to my faith. It made me think that God does work in mysterious ways, even though this is a fictional story, these things can actually happen in real life.

#bookreview … Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry (Contributor), Tobias Iaconis (Contributor)

Five Feet ApartPlot: Can you love someone you can never touch?

Stella Grant likes to be in controlβ€”even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions.

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

Stella – controlling but in need of love. She is scared of death but not for herself. She is scared for the loss that she will leave for her parents and all the other people that loved her.

About life…πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

Hello there! 😌

It happens often lately that I’m contemplating life and what happens around me. I suppose it is normal to do so but I think that I probably do it to the extreme. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸŒž

So contemplating about life brings me to a simple conclusion: being alone is one of the best things that happened to me. I used to be afraid of loneliness, thinking that I needed people around me to feel loved and accepted and appreciated. But not anymore.

I don’t mind being around people. Genuine people. But I mind so much being around fakeness. People that spend their time with me because they have nothing else better to do..and that they forget everything else as soon as their life is ‘too busy’.

Personally, if I don’t get in touch with someone is because I don’t want any interaction at that moment. I don’t believe in the ‘we are too busy’ to communicate with each other.

So yeah….it just gets to me how some people use my presence to just fill their emptiness of the moment…πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for coming!! πŸ€—πŸ’œπŸ“–

First I want to make it very clear that I loved this book. So very much.

I must say though that I’m so happy that I didn’t read the Goodreads description before reading the book. Talking about spoilers…
My review has some spoilers…I think…πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜Œ

The book is based in Quebec, which happens to be the province of Canada in which I live…yayyyy. Don’t worry this is not the only reason why I loved the book 😌 . The story made me feel so many things and I think at one point I wanted to stop reading it because I was so confused by my feelings. Luckily I read a kindle edition, otherwise I could have easily thrown the book into a wall out of frustration.

Overthinking life…

I don’t know what is making me sad but this feeling is breaking my heart. Constantly fighting these feelings…it’s hard to stay on the right track.

Why do I feel so insecure? I should not care. So why do I? The thought of judgement is too much to bear.

What is this world that we live in anyway? And why do we even live? So strange. The fact that we get born yet for no specific reason we just have to die at one point. What is the point anyway?

I feel out of breath…this is too overwhelming…I have to be happy for the life I have. Sure! But why do I have this life and others don’t? What’s the point of it all anyway?

Goodreads TBR list = 0

If you look at the title it seems like I just finished my entire TBR list of more than 400 books on Goodreads. πŸ˜œπŸ“šπŸ₯° In reality I haven’t even reached half of the list and I would have probably never would because I was constantly adding to it. This ongoing growing list made me feel like I’m not reading fast enough.

It was like I was not a real bookworm. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜“πŸ™„

All this situation made me feel anxious for some reason. Therefore I made the best decision that I could have make: I deleted every single book on my TBR list and with that the reading pressure dropped as well.

As a child I was a light reader. I enjoyed reading but I was not constantly with a book in my hands. My dad was that person. He had a huge library with most probably more than 400 books and he read them and re-read them several times. It made me dream that one day that library might be mine.

I became an adult and my desire for reading dropped considerably. For many years I haven’t even touched a book. All my father’s books were left in Romania, in boxes, when we all left the country. One day, one of my friends lent me a book. And when I sat to read it, it felt like coming home. My desire and my dream came back. And so I started to build my own library. I am far away from 400 physical books but it’s slowly getting there. πŸ“šβ€πŸ“–
