#bookreview … A Reason to Live (A Reason to Love #1) by T.K. Chapin

A Reason to Live (A Reason to Love #1)
Plot: Jonathan Dunken is no stranger to heartache. After losing his wife, he submerged himself in his work as an architect and pushed everyone away, including God. Four years after his world crumbled, a surprise visitor in the middle of the night changes his life forever.

Kylie wants a change in her life, especially a new job.

A Reason to Live by T.K. Chapin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don’t normally read Christian books, for no specific reason, but I must say that I might start to do so. This romantic story made me feel like there is much more to a romance book than the relationship between a man and a woman.

Jonathan and Kylie found each other when both needed guidance. Throughout the book the mention of God and Jesus made me feel closer to my faith. It made me think that God does work in mysterious ways, even though this is a fictional story, these things can actually happen in real life.

Four (4) things that I learned after my thirties … that changed my life

Being an adult is not always easy. I don’t know about you but when I reached my adulthood I was so lost and I had no idea where to turn or what to do with my life. Apparently we are supposed to be prepared somehow, probably by our parents, for what it is to come after we turn 18 years old. We should know by then what we want to do in life, which path to follow and most importantly we should have an idea of who we are.

I didn’t. None of the above. I was as lost as I could be. I am not blaming my parents for it. Maybe they didn’t know how to help me or maybe they just didn’t know they have to. Maybe they were too busy following a path of their own. I don’t know. Maybe I should blame them. But I don’t. What I did instead it was just moving along in life-like I had an idea of what I was doing. I was simply living because I didn’t know what else to do. I thought I wanted to go to university and be a psychologist but I didn’t go. Instead I went and study something that I hated and was really bad at it but guess what…I never finished my studies. Later, in my thirties, I went back to school and I have a diploma now, but it’s not like I feel more fulfilled because of it.

I am a #bookblogger but where is the time for reading?! πŸ€”πŸ’•πŸ“–

Hello readers! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™πŸ“–

I don’t know about you but I find it very hard to finish a book lately. I don’t know if it’s the lack of time or the “I’m simply too tired” but I feel like I’m not able to get to the end of a book. Right now I’m in between Dreams of Gods and Monsters and Les MisΓ©rables and even though I enjoy both I can’t seem to advance.

If you wonder why I read two books at a time, I don’t really have an answer for that. I just do. πŸ˜‰

I guess that what I wonder a lot is how can some book bloggers read so many books and post so many reviews. Is it because the books they are reading are not very long or because all they do all day is read? I wish I could only read, but life doesn’t let me do it. πŸ™πŸ€”

#bookreview … Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks

Every Breath

Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I finished this book this morning and I feel that I need some time to recover.

While at the beginning of the book, Nicholas Sparks mentions that this is based on a true story, by the end there is a slight twist of events. I am a bit disappointed but thinking that I know of a true story which shows that this kind of story is possible I regained my confidence that somewhere in this world this type of love is actually possible.

While reading, I fell in love, I smiled, I cried and I was terribly heartbroken. I felt a twinge of jealousy at this love so pure and so sincere. This type of love is probably almost impossible or it happens to few people in the world. I like to think that I’m wrong and that this love can actually exist and stay even after the years pass and the routine settles.

Hope and Tru are the couple that makes you wonder if you ever loved even if you think you did. They are so perfect together, they are so perfect that it makes your heart ache. I felt a bit upset with Hope thinking that she is making so many mistakes, but I remembered that in the end she is human and we all make mistake, and we all have regrets.

I can’t wait for a movie. I really loved this book. No wonder Nicholas Sparks is my favorite author. He always make me live the story like I’m part of it. I definitely recommend this book. You will not be disappointed. And, I believe a trip to Kindred Spirit is a must now. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸ“–

Thanks for reading!

My favourite writer just came in the mail…ok…not him just his books πŸ˜πŸ’•πŸ“š

I just got a box full of books…I mean that is the treasure right there. The mailman could actually see the joy on my face when he handed me the box. I looked on the window all day long..and he finally came…with books by my favorite writer…Nicholas Sparks.

Thank goodness that my hubby is not home to see that I bought books…again…😊

But they are so beautiful and I can’t wait to read them all…

See my Instagram video

Problem…I’m already in the middle of a book so I must finish that one before, and second problem…how am I going to be able to choose which book to read next…these are definitely reader problems πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Or 🍾 problems…

Who is your favorite writer? And how do you choose your next read?

Thanks for reading!

#lostbook … Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

When you realize you lost a book or gave it to someone πŸ™„πŸ€”πŸ˜₯😱 but don’t remember to whom or where it might be and freak out mode is started.

One thing is for sure…I bought the book in 2014 but I can’t find it anywhere. This is such a sad day… #lostbook #booksπŸ“š #readerlife #readeremotions πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

The thing is that I remember reading it but I don’t remember much about it. So now I’m wondering if I should buy it again and read it again or just give it a bad review because being the fact that I don’t remember about it maybe I didn’t like it much. πŸ€” Yet, I’m reading other reviews and people really liked it so maybe it’s not fair to give it a bad review.

This is the second time that I have to buy a book, again, because someone doesn’t give it back to me. It is the last time that this is happening to me. Never again are my books leaving this house without me. πŸ˜₯

Do you suffer when your books are lost? Did you ever lose a book? πŸ€”

Thanks for reading!

#bookreview … The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

The Girl on the TrainThe Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s been a long time that I read this book but I liked the suspense and the moments of unknown. The book is intense and keeps the reader on his/her toes.

I found myself bored at times but that could because the genre of the book is not exactly my favorite.

Overall is a great read so if you look for some mystery and if you haven’t seen the movie yet ( 😊 ) I recommend this read.

Thanks for reading.
